War Eagle Park is the final resting place of the renowned peace-making chief of the Sioux Indians Wambdi Okicize, or War Eagle. Buried at the top of the bluff with both his daughters, and much of his extended family, War Eagle's peaceful legacy is honored by the beautiful bronze cast that peers out over the lands he once governed. The park is located east of Riverside Park, just a minutes walk from the South Dakota border and the river.
